Having made my Teaser Trailer i i have decided to analyse a few poster covers asi would like to create a poster for my product. Being my film genre is horror i decided to analyse posters relating to the area i am looking at. I found that most posters share the same codes & conventions, for example dark trees or woodland setting, a shot of one of the characters, red writing relating to the gory bloody theme etc. All of these conventions are commonly used to create a successful product and to create the desired effect. While looking over these posters i also noticed that they use a lot of natural light , in my opinion i think this is to create a sort of realistic effect. Also all of these common factors help to entice their audience to see the film , here are some examples .....
