Final Idea for Poster

After experimenting with different ideas i have finally settled on the idea of having the eyes faded into the fire.I felt this would not only work the best for a movie poster but it also goes with my trailer, for example the fact that the camp is being watched links with the eyes. The font which i am going to use will match the one used in my teaser trailer, being a Red font and the style the same. I also plan to create my own credits so i can personalise it and use my own names etc. I am aiming to put this in a white font so it stands out but in a small font so it doesn't take the focus away from the rest of the poster. I will also include a tag line beneath the title to entice the audience and in a way sum up the movie. To find a tag line i made up a couple myself and searched the Internet for a few and then did a class survey to see which one the class preferred. Here are the results : 7 people voted for "Now all eyes are on you" , 11 people voted for " the eye sees only what the mind is prepared to comprehend" and 2 people thought " The eyes are the mirror of the soul".
Being i used Twisted Pictures for my distributor it would be a good idea to use the logo on my poster , as distributor logos are often shown on movie posters. To get this i am going to find another poster with the Twisted Picture logo on it and change the colours etc to fit with my poster.

Developing Poster

Here is how i began my movie poster, i chose to layer the two images over one another and change the opacity of the eyes to blend in. Just looking at this, at this stage it doesn't look professional at all, the eyes will need further editing and blending in and the fire may need to be brightened to contrast with the eyes. I chose to display the eyes at the top of this poster so they look as though the fire is flaming into the eyes. Also the way the eyes make contact with the audience automatically adds tension and helps connect with them.

When developing my poster further i found that it looked quite plain when i had finally edited the eyes and the flames so i decided to photograph an image of some trees and use that in the background to set the scene a little. I have also included the movie title which is exactly the same as what i included in my teaser trailer, so i have clearly made links with the film. I displayed this in Red not only because its a common code and convention but because it goes well with the dark background and fire. Now all i need to do is include credits which i am hoping to add in white, institution logo website address and finally release date
